New RRS Owner - Switching from Auto to Dynamic Mode

This may be a silly question, but I have recently bought my first RRS Dynamic 2017. Can i will switch from auto to dynamic mode while I am driving, or do I have to stop?

You can use any of the modes on the fly Thumbs Up

Here's a handy tip: if you want to race the GTIs at the lights, put it in Sand mode Rolling with laughter --

Sand mode changes the engine, gearbox, and throttle responses + maps to be extremely responsive and allows you to rev much higher than other modes.

I've never used it on-road in my RRS because, well, the SCV8 is more than enough even in Normal mode, but on my previous D4 SDV6, I would drive around in Sand mode whenever I wanted to have some fun Laughing --

Simpler just to select first with the paddles and then hold 1500rpm against the brakes. As the lights change, come off the brake and add more throttle. You'll leap away from standstill in quite surprising fashion.

I might have used this technique on occasion... Whistle

Some don't need any special technique. I remember beating a young lad in his bog-standard Ford Escort when driving my old TDV8. Oh, and I was pulling an empty horse trailer at the time so had a 1 tonne parachute on the back! I let him go once we'd got up to 50mph because SWMBO asked "you're not playing, are you?" in that tone that means you're being naughty... Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
