May I ask why sand mode Naks & what difference it make.? I usually just put it into dynamic mode & flick the stick over to sport mode. Andy.

Sand mode changes the engine, gearbox, and throttle responses + maps to be extremely responsive and allows you to rev much higher than other modes.

Simpler just to select first with the paddles and then hold 1500rpm against the brakes. As the lights change, come off the brake and add more throttle. You'll leap away from standstill in quite surprising fashion. I might have used this technique on occasion... ![]() Some don't need any special technique. I remember beating a young lad in his bog-standard Ford Escort when driving my old TDV8. Oh, and I was pulling an empty horse trailer at the time so had a 1 tonne parachute on the back! I let him go once we'd got up to 50mph because SWMBO asked "you're not playing, are you?" in that tone that means you're being naughty... ![]() 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
