Hi on a more serious note, if you have business or domestic policy if you volunteered to help with food or people deliveries would any insurer invalidate your policy ? |

Many insurers are covering volunteering in the covid19 period under social domestic and pleasure (for no additional premiums) as long as no money exchanges hands... You do need to let us know though as we deal with 40+ insurers and even though we've had the all clear from many of them we do still need to record that you are partaking in voluntary work 👍

I'd appreciate your view about my policies.... with Admiral UK offering a refund (to all policyholders) of some premium to reflect the reduced usage and therefore reduced risk during lockdown, are you / your insurers also considering the same?

What Admiral have done is commendable, and a flat £25 it's great if your premium is, say, £200, but if you're paying £800 or £900, or as a young driver, even more, it might not feel quite so good, especially if you're effectively off the road. Their approach to offering this so early on is also likely linked to them recently having 2.5 hour call times to get through to them where they weren't as prepared for working at home in comparison to other insurers - so a positive diversion to the negativity they've been receiving. We deal with about twenty five different insurers, and our insurer relations team have been in constant dialogue with them to ensure their service standards are what we'd want for our clients in these challenging times, as well as ensuring that they are accommodating the changing insurance needs of key workers insured through us. EDIT: As we are a broker and not an insurer we are waiting to hear of our insurers approaches. Carlie A-Plan Insurance | Specialist Vehicle Call us on 01635 874646 for a quotation Click Here |

So what you are saying is that you & your insurer partners are quite happy to keep the additional profit from increased premiums and reduced risk across your client base? Rather than sharing the savings from a c20% reduction in mileage, and therefore risk, with loyal customers.
