2009 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red
Height calibration problem

Hi, Car is with the local garage, had lower front arms replaced, 4 wheel aligment and height reset.
Arms had to be cut out,aligment camber right on the limit,they had to"wind in the steering arm to get it right"?
went to adjust levels,put the car into off road mode using their diag software and now it is stuck there.
they released air manually on the back,,now its sat on the bump stops at rear,nose stuck in the air.
special programmes off,all sus warning lights on.
was working before it went in,,only slight thing was display showed front height sensor on access mode flashing red but only once or twice.
Now they are saying comms error and cant clear faults or access eas to change anything.
osf sensor changed for genuine but still the same?
tried battery reset,steering sensor reset,left overnight battery off,over night battery on,,still just sits there

Any thoughts.

The new sensor will need calibrating. Does this garage know what they are doing? They don’t sound like they have much LR experience.

What lower arms did they fit? 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
2012 5.0 SC AB. Sadly written off by a campervan
23 plate Focus ST (Current)
1942 VEP Ford GPW Jeep (Willys) (Current)
1943 Whites M16 Halftrack (Current)
16 plate Eurofighter Typhoon, 2 x Eurojet engines with 20,000lbs thrust each. 1380mph

It sounds like a strange thing to do putting into off road mode when doing the height calibration. There is no need to do this.

As Brit Plumber mentioned above, tight tolerance mode should be used when performing height calibration or wheel alignment.

Sorry for stating the obvious, but from your description, it sounds like the garage do not know what they are doing. Kev

Sometimes driving it around 30mph is a way to get the suspension down (for future reference)
Too late now.

for cal.
Normally you would put it into off road mode, and then down to normal to get a good starting point.

However common issues mean these cars don't always want to lower from off road mode! (unless drive at 30MPH)

is the red suspension light on?

after calibration has been entered, you need to go in and re enable the suspension.

It's easy to forget to do this! A red light will be on dash

Update

the car is back now,,after the garage found a small chaffe in the wire and the osf height sensor was a bit stiff,, replaced wire section and new height sensor.This allowed them to "reset" the car,,but didn't do a full calibration?
car is back to being level and drives well..no warnings lights,,there wasn't any on anyway before it went in..
However, before I had to press lower three times for access mode and it stayed down,,,now only the back lowers,, car chimes and goes into off road mode,,,it will let me reset down to normal,,,but not down again to access!!! again with no warning lights and the display screen doesn't show any red bars?

UPDATE,,Plugged into diag and cleared every fault,turned off turned back on and it raised itself. car drives fine,albeit a bit bouncy,no warning lights,goes upto of road,,lowers to standard,but requires 3 presses and hold to lower into access mode.No errors shown on dash for new sensor

Tried calibration multiple times inputing values,exact measurements etc but EVERY TIME says "out of range no change saved".
Even tried "fooling" the calibration by inputting factory settings,,still says out of range?
Sometimes the height measurements were different on each wheel on different attempts to calibrate?
Any ideas please.

What happens when the access mode button is pressed once? Does it try to lower and then go to extended mode? Or does it simply do nothing? Kev
