2011 L320 5.0SC, I'm looking at 275/55/20, any idea if they will fit without rubbing?

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

No idea concerning a 275 width with a 55 profile.

However, a 255 width with a 55 profile will fit fine. I have these on my L320. Kev

This chart will help you , but our RRS have smaller wheel arches than Disco 3-4 and more clerance uses

Below is a pic of my 200 RRS with 275/55R20s.

They fit but the rears will rub on the wheel arch on the leading edge under compression if you don't raise the Sport. Also the fronts may rub on the rear of the wheel arch under compression and full lock.

I've raised mine 10 or 15mm with an IID Tool and have no issues.

Guy, 275/55 x 20 are around 80mm larger diameter then standard wheels with raising the suspension another 10-15mm means you have raised the height of the vehicle somewhere in the region of 45-50mm, has this not effected the stability of the vehicle at all as you have raised the centre of gravity somewhat?

Cheers
Col

Col,

To be honest I haven't noticed anything, but then I don't push the Sport through corners like a sport's car.

For my day to day driving I find the ride perfect, suitably firm and comfortable. Perhaps the ACE system assists in mitigating the additional roll due to the higher center of gravity.

Either way, I have no loss of confidence in the Sport's handling.

Thanks all, I will then probably got for the 275/55/20. I will lift her with my IID tool to avoid clearance issues. I would be happy with 255/55/20 but tyre selection here in that size is limited, and I am after more sidewall

Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT 275/55 R20 - beautiful. Rubs (but just a bit). LLAMS fitted . 1st setting is 15mm lift - all sorted (low enough to be stable but high enough to take out the rubbing). Seriously not 100% needed though.
