Help Needed 2013 L320 powered tailgate switch

Hi having problem with tailgate switch with boot opening on its own. I have new part which come with switch number plate light wiring and 3 plugs part no. LR083610 . Problem i have is i dont know how to remove the plastic panel that has the RANGE ROVER lettering on it as its a one piece tailgate do you need to take inside trim off. I know on the 2 piece tailgate you opened the glass and it was screwed on from inside but don't know how the new one is and having spent hours on internet i cant find any info

Can anyone help please 🙂👍

I did mine some time ago and certainly don't remember removing the outer trim with Range Rover on it, just the inner trim panel, you may find your new switch has one extra plug than the original as they did update the switch as it fits other models as well, not a problem as you can simply remove the extra wires and plug or just leave it tucked out of the way.

The reason I replace mine is because it wouldn't always release, but did appear to only do it on hot days, so not very often in the U.K. Laughing but been as good as gold since changing it.

If you do a search there is a link to download the workshop manual, which tells you all you need to know to remove inner panel and switch etc, third one down.
