Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Fuji White
Control Arms and bushes

well finally tomorrow the Sport is going in to have the lower control arm and bushes
+ the upper control arm bushes replaced. They current set are original from new and
have managed to last 9 years 2 months Shocked is that a record.. my MY07 Sport had
them replaced at the 3 year point.. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

I know of an 07 car that has its original front lowers still on.

They have needed replacing for the last 4 years, but she wont spend the money while it still passes MOT's Rolling Eyes

It is. And also was 4 years ago.

I remember replacing the EGR valves on it, and road testing it afterwards. Her driveway is a rocky track down to the main road, and it sounded f'king horrendous

Her MOT was the following month, so I expected a phone call. Never happened, and the knocking "doesn't bother her" Shocked

My 07 suspension is still original - clunks a little on secondary roads when driving slowly but is fine on normal roads and speed humps - has started to knock entering the driveway though.

Time to start thinking about replacement. 07MY RRS TDV6

not a cheap fix, $2.2K for lower arms+bushes and upper bushes replacement. Shocked
that is at an independent rate not a LR dealer.. might check them out next time Big Cry Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

The thing with lower arms is you get used to the slow deterioration and the increasing noise. When they're changed for new, the difference is Shocked noticeable. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Dear god, she must be deaf Laughing Mine knocks at the end of heavy braking (as the arm rattles around on the bush, I imagine) and it sounds like the wheel is going to fall off! I mean, I know what the noise is, and it's still disconcerting.

Next on the list after the wheel bearings, for me. Then rear bushes (one is soft, so the other side doubtless needs doing too) and then I'm hoping it won't wander like George Best on a night out. 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S
