Yeh I had the exhaust tips done while it was in for ceramic coating protection.

I had them sprayed while in-situ as the tips are spot welded to the pipes. I didn’t fancy a grinder being taken to the car or welding afterwards so gave the in-situ option a go.

It’s turned out well- I’m pleased.

I’m not sure of the product, I know it’s a high temp heat paint of some sort.


Changes the look- definitely worth doing.

Did they remove the rear bumper in order to spray the tips?

That would be the best way but I opted out of that.

Looks awesome esp the tips . Urban quoted me 400 plus vat... just a bit reticent of bumper being removed

Yes same here, I made the enquiry at urban about the tips. I know they’d do a good job but couldn’t justify the money at the present time so hence going with the ‘easy’ option of painting them in-situ. It was a gamble I was willing to take always knowing I could have them done again if needed. I’m perfectly happy with them.

I might go to urban in the future to have their fixed side steps fitted as they’re smart, have you got steps?

I can’t help you with which products as I don’t know but the company who did all this good work for me is Logic VPC in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Andy494 since they were sprayed without the bumper being removed, can you see any silver on the tips? I’ve also been hesitant to have my bumper removed to spray the tips but if the end result of what you did covers the silver then I’d opt for that solution.

Missus did say 480 is a bit steep
Which paint was used ? Must have to be very high heat resistance ? N

They look better than silver,you’ve given me a idea plus mine can be removed from bumper but I don’t know wether it will be too much black on the bumper

Just brain storming here- could you go bumper to white then black exhaust tips? Could be an option.

I could have the tow eye cover painted white as I have a spare one. Andy.

Very nice Andy, but i do prefer the exhaust tips in chrome.  SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.
