Where/How do I disable the keyless entry please?

Couldn't find it on the dashboard vehicle setup or on the IID menu.

Thanks

1880, so very sorry to hear about this. Did you have GAP insurance?

For others, I used ala.co.uk and MSE25 code for a 25% discount. £420 ish for 4 years of £50k max GAP return to invoice cover on a £120k list price, which I think is really good. If I am unfortunate enough to have mine taken despite the security at least I can get as close as possible to a new car, so it’s great peace of mind.

I did not try A-Plan... I have tried them for regular car insurance for the last 3 years and they have always been crazy expensive for me, so I have stopped wasting their time! (Probably a London-and-no-driveway-thing). L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

What is the new keyless technology? Will it be on a 68 plate svr?

Ash3,

When I contacted Land Rover about fitting a Ghost immobiliser system on a new vehicle they informed me that the LR Warranty would be invalid on the car............ and this was the second edition off Ghost.

In the end I went down the route of an immobiliser which is recommended by LR ( and Warranty is still Valid ).

There is a small fob attached to my keys and the car will not start unless the fob is present in the car. So even if the keys are cloned ( i keep them in a faraday pouch as well) the car will not be able to be started. So even if I’m out and about and they cloned my keys in my pocket it wont start.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Yes that was something I considered too. Needs to detect tag with key

On the l494 it is simple and easy.

Unlock car..sit in drivers seat.

Press headlight butyon 3 gimes then unlock button.

Uou wont notice anything or see any indication..you will know its worked when you try to lock the car using the keyless button / dimple on car door handle or try opening door without using key fob button.

Theres isnt s definitive way mentioned to identify if a car has the new system or not?
My car has a different style Fob than the previous RRS I have had. More square than previous.

Thanks Ash3, I have a 2010 L320, and have tried this method without success, hence wondering if there was another way.

I used a faraday pouch and disklok when I had my RRS to reduce the risk of theft Confused

Now I have keyless again on the mini I’m going to have to think about this again Sad

Do you really think that people who have RRS stolen to order for markets in the former colonies want a plug-in hybrid mini? I haven’t heard of any P400e RRS’s being stolen yet..........
I use a Faraday Pouch for my keys for the Mini, but I’m much more worried about having my Defender that has no factory fitted security systems (it does have system I have had fitted aftermarket) stolen than the Mini disappearing! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

You are probably safe anyway as you should have the new type of key.
