Dave B On the l494 it is simple and easy. Unlock car..sit in drivers seat. Press headlight butyon 3 gimes then unlock button. Uou wont notice anything or see any indication..you will know its worked when you try to lock the car using the keyless button / dimple on car door handle or try opening door without using key fob button. |

Thanks Ash3, I have a 2010 L320, and have tried this method without success, hence wondering if there was another way.

Do you really think that people who have RRS stolen to order for markets in the former colonies want a plug-in hybrid mini? I haven’t heard of any P400e RRS’s being stolen yet.......... I use a Faraday Pouch for my keys for the Mini, but I’m much more worried about having my Defender that has no factory fitted security systems (it does have system I have had fitted aftermarket) stolen than the Mini disappearing! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |

You are probably safe anyway as you should have the new type of key.
