Hi everyone,

After a fraught experience changing my Defender's tyre in a field and stripping one wheel nut, I am considering getting a set of these/similar for the RRS so that the caps don't become a problem.

I have a full set of solid wheel nuts on my RRS. Not sure of the source as they were on there when I bought it from DrRob (forum member).

Makes sense to get rid of the silly capped nuts that fail with regularity. I remember changing a couple of blown nuts with new LR ones, and even being really gentle with them, using a correctly set torque spanner etc., they still came loose after a few weeks. Rubbish, rubbish design. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

thanks, it would be nice to buy from a forum or reputable supplier --

sure, but the Wrington stuff looks like quality product, not sure about these eBay sellers and their cheap Chinese parts.

The RRS is a heavy car and I often drive it hard, last thing I want is wheel nuts going poof on me when driving --

But the picture shows capped nuts? And if they are Genuine LR nuts, as the descriptions says, then they are capped?

Weird,, all the sets ive had from them haven't had the caps on them.It aso says in the description they are not capped.
Full Solid Wheel nut (no cap to loosen) that what it says.
Even the ones ive seen fitted in LR dealerships the black nuts have never had the caps on them only the silver ones,,the my15 I have now came with the stealth pack fitted & solid black nuts from dealer when new. Andy.
