2009 RRS SC 4.2L Oil Light Issue

So I had the oil light come on 100 yards from my house a week ago. Had a mild heart attack and checked oil level and topped up. It was low but above minimum level mark. I had it towed to the shop and they replaced the sensor. The light went out for the mechanic but was lit when I picked up the truck. We disconnected the sensor and started the truck and the light stayed on. Being that this is a simple switch to ground sensor the light should have extinguished as the circuit is broken. The light went out and stayed out until today. The engine drives and sounds awesome and the shop changed oil and filter when they had it.
I'm guessing a wire is rubbing a ground somewhere or am I on the wrong path here?

I found a thread on the LR3 having an oil light issue with water ingress on the A-Pillar. Apparently the water lands on the fuse box behind the glovebox and causes the light. There was a TSB.

Did not find one on the RRS.

So today the oil light came on but this time I had my fog lights on and the fog light symbol on the dash went out when the oil light came on. Neither rear or front fog light symbols on the dash work when the oil light is on. When the oil light comes on I also get whatever messages I got on startup like "low washer fluid"
My trucks voltage while driving is 13.5 or 13.6. I thought it should be above 14? 2009 Range Rover Sport Supercharged

Mine has a plastic cap seal thingy which I assume is to stop water ingress. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

"Chassis tit" .. Laughing Laughing Laughing That's what I'm going to call every ground stud, from now on.

Cleaning every 10k seems a bit much, mind.. clean, refit with good quality dielectric grease (preferably silicone based) and refit cover cap and you'd be good for .. a long time, I'd have thought! Still, worth investigating. 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S

I tried to locate this stud on the weekend and could not find it. Where exactly is it? 2009 Range Rover Sport Supercharged

Was this issue ever resolved? I have an 08 RRS oil light on, fogs don't come on, windshield fluid low warning on start--exact same prob as reported here. Was it the chassis tit/grounding or instrument panel? Am told it's the instrument panel and replacing will be $1500. Thanks all!
