Just done mine what a pain in the don't what ever you do follow powerful UK's vid remove the door handle then take out the whole assembly my swear box is now overflowing If it ain't broken down it soon will

It is a really common part to fail but the components are specific on year and model so make sure you purchase the right part..

Interesting, just replaced a rear one in mine and never removed motor from window, just dropped the whole unit motor and glass down inside the door a few inches.

If it's an RRS1 like mine I just removed the speaker and you can see the clip that the window attaches to. Here's the video from pwerfull uk as I said ignore the lock refitting bit, you'll never get the new one back in it was simpler to remove the lock and handle together. If it ain't broken down it soon will

Aaah... you can obviously get away with it then on the RRS...i’ve Replaced them them both on a Freelander 2 and a Disco 3 (same concept ) but the design of those doors makes it easier to remove the window unless you have incredibly double jointed and dexterous hands.... Only advice is be patient and don’t try and force things.... |
