United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Fuji White

I’ve actually tried refitting the original module and I don’t get anything at all then like how I said about the windows work for a minute with the original I don’t get antything at all.ive replaced the door loom like for like to so I can get the part number of that no problem.i just can’t get my head around all this happening from me removing the door lock.ive tried unplugging things like window switch and the connector to the interior door handles one at a time to see if that makes any difference but still the same.the only thing I’ve not tried disconnecting yet is the keyless entry handle as that’s behind the window and abit of a pain to disconnect when your on your own.

Just tried the door module off my 10 plate sport out of curiosity and mirrors worked fine windows worked fine but still no door locks.computer let me erase the door module too.but the module is a completely different manufacture code on the 10 plate.its basically got me back to when I first purchased the car.everything working apart from passenger front and rear lock even thow these are new parts.ive put the right module back in now and back to all faults again

The 2010 unit should be an AH22 version which is ok, you’re maybe unlucky to have bought a bad replacement unit, was it new?

Are the locks genuine LR? I have heard the Chinese knock offs are not worth the money. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Hi bud yes it was a AH model.well I’ve actually tried 3 replacement ones now with the original part number and still no joy.they are second hand but promised to be working.i can’t get my head around how the AH works but original dosent.as far as the lock I purchased original Land Rover as I’ve head about the cheap copies not being good.im just wondering if the configuration of the AH module runs in a different way hence why I’m getting power back to everything but still no locks

The AH is 2010, BH is 2011 and CH is 2012. These aren’t the years of production but the years of revision, hence a BH on a 2012 car. The 2012MY has a different infotainment system and some other differences but things like the door electronics were the same. The BH version is just a minor upgrade to the AH version, hence why it works.

I find this very odd but the CAN bus is a very strange thing. It could be that the first one blew and the others are dud or it could be the CAN bus at fault. Have you disconnected the battery for 20 minutes for a CAN reset? 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Just found the wiring diagram for central locking and the lock command originates from an independent feed on the CJB. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Ok so it stands a chance I could get away with fitting the AH module then?yes bud I left the battery off over night to try it but still the exact same.the lock itself must have some sort of power there as if I unplug the lock I just get a beep sound if trying to lock the rest of the car and no locks work then so there must be something running down the lock side but no idea what I should have and what I should have ha ha.i may order a fourth Bh module and see if that works and if not I’ll have to resort to the AH module then atleast I’ll only have the locks fault to contend with

I’m thinking all this is down to the door module or a bad CAN connection.

I found this info in the WS manual

Can you PM me your email address and I’ll send you a copy of the WS manual, there’s lots of stuff for diagnosing lock faults and how to adjust correctly. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Any ideas on where this can bus connection is located?im still baffled as to why the original door module part number doesn’t work but the 2010 module does work.

Bit of a update I’ve purchased a brand new module and fitted it today.and I now have power windows front and rear and mirrors fold in and out off the driver side switch.indicator now works on passenger side door too.just still have no locks working on passenger front and rear door.and mirrors not folding in when locking the car but I’m thinking that is due to the locks not locking the doors so just get a beep noise to say car isn’t locked.im happy the windows are all working but still baffled about the lock
