Spangler- if the speedo reads 8% less, then the odometer will too as they both run off the same sensor. All things being equal, can't be a bad thing, although maybe not so good for the next owner |

Mixture of motorway and suburban driving i average around 24.5mpg - long distance motorway around 30mpg.

Sounds about right for a TDV8, but worth doing a proper measure if you haven't already- ie brim the tank, reset odometer etc etc... I have done this with mine and the computer lies by exactly 10%. My average over the last several thousand miles is 34.1mpg on the 'puter, which is 30.6 actual. That's a full 50/50 ish mix of urban and long distance. You can't see the eyes of the demon until him come callin' |
