Have you tried adjusting the rubber bump stops around the tailgate? They screw in and out, so you can set them at the correct height to stop the tailgate rattling. Maybe they are set too far out, and not allowing it to close. Try screwing them in a bit more. |

Have checked the hinges and rubber stops and nothing seems to be fouling. Think it’s probably wiring related or body control module as it plays up even if the boot latch is closed manually without closing the boot. It’s just so random sometimes it closes, other times it won’t! |

It's not so much that they foul to door, but that they are set too high. Did you screw them in fully, then try to close the boot? |

Yes, all screwed down tight and still the same issues. Looks like the next job is the BCM... |
