Find someone with a flushing machine. Cost is approx half that of a main dealer, with 3x the amount of oil replaced |

Thanks, that was what I was thinking, but is the filter likely to be clogged, or is it more a case of the oil degenerating? |

If you're going to suck it out, you may as well drain it out through undoing the plug. However, that will only get a couple of litres out as a lot of the fluid is in the torque converter.

Keith, ZF, the manufacturer of the gearbox recommend a flush every 80,000 to 120,000 kilometers (every 50k to 75k miles) OR 8 years, whichever is sooner.
