Just make sure the ignition is off and then disconnect the negative terminal. That'll be fine. Kev

My car has a label next to the battery which I think shows IGN off, wait 2 minutes to power down, then remove neg battery clamp. Ignore my pointer, the photo was for another chap.

You only need to connect the vent tube if you have a vented battery. Some are sealed. Phil |

Remember to reset the BMS, plus the battery should be an AGM battery, loads of info on here and the Disco Forum...Fussy animals these cars In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Both my sports came with an AGM battery as standard In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

My S/C certainly never came with a AGM as standard, although I have fitted one now.

LR AGM here from new, thought all Facelift had them fitted 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

As normal L/R confuse things, RRS1 Petrol Variants only ever had wet cell batteries fitted, 3.0 and 3.6 up to VIN No. BA716316 had wet batteries, BA716317 on had AGM's fitted.
