Mystery connector 2011 Sport

Removed headlight cluster to replace Xenon bulb and found this wired up part lying unused underneath the headlight.

Any ideas anyone?

Yeah, definitely TPMS aerial/antenna should be clipped to wheel arch liner, but wouldn't worry about it as the system on a RRS1 is pretty crap anyway.

Cheers

Yes, that's the antenna for the TPMS that communicates with the pressure sensor in the wheel. Kev

You will see 2 small holes in a oblong shaped depression in the front wheel are liner, that’s where it fits. Check the other side and you should have plastic Riverts in there. Check the rear of the rear liners for the same on the rear. If you only have holes, I suspect someone’s tried to retro fit and gave up. If there all there, it’s dropped out or someone left it off for some reason. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Thanks guys.

The TPM system came as standard on my vehicle.
I'll have a look and see if the original securing location is still usable.

Otherwise I'll leave it where it is. It has given me warning signals before.
Can't figure out why anyone would have moved it.

Might have had the wheel arch liner removed before and the never refitted the antenna when refitting the liner, not unknown for dealers to leave thing off or disconnected. Smile
