I have replaced a few sets from Sports I have purchased that was battered & worse for wear . It was only ever the steps I replaced - the brackets are hidden & didn't seem as rough as the steps themselves. If I remember rightly I never paid moref than £120 & that was for the sets with pre cut plastic sills. The 3 sets was all off fleabay - I have checked my purchase history but it doesn't go back that far |

I noticed my running boards were getting worse for wear also - so I've ordered a set of ebay for around £110. I'll let you know how I get on - probably be end of July before I get a chance to fit them though. |

When you decide, buy a 5ltr can on Waxoyl and paint it on the underside, (incl. brackets) with a brush as you fit them. check once a year and they'll last. 2011 MY D4 HSE

An hour ago I just got out of the car and as I placed my 104kg on it the silver trim popped off at the leading edge. I tried to pop it back in but it wouldn’t stay. Put it on off road height to have a peek and there is surface corrosion but the first 2 heads of the lugs that keep the trim in the step have gone. So I’ve pressed it against the step drilled a hole at the forward most end just behind the front wheel and bolted it in. You can’t obviously see the bolt and it will keep it going for a bit.
