When you were at S*** Part were you served by a really good bloke called Richard by any chance? He used to be at Porsche Hatfield and we still miss him
So failing battery or a high resistance somewhere looking a possibility? Does your Hawkeye allow you to live monitor voltages? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE |

Best of luck. Be surprised if JGS don't have the facility to flash the TCM firmware. They may also suggest resetting the gearbox adaptations as that is routine after a gearbox flush.

Well, after a year and a half of attempting to save the funds for a replacement TCM (£1800) and resetting the box every time i reverse, it became the norm.

This is a long shot but it’s free to check, disconnect your battery and take out each connector to the CJB and check for condition of both CJB and harness connector. There are maybe 8ish connectors to it. Also check each fuse by pulling out and check the connections (my surround cameras failed last week, turned out the fuse hadn’t blown but was tarnished and lost continuity).

Hi Rover 75, thank you. I have done most of the things, new alternator early this year but i will have another look at the earth points and the fuse/relay boxes. I was thinking of a gearbox flush, it's a start. Simms |

If it comes to a new/recon unit, then these guys are worth a look, and not too far from you in Shefford. They're on the old A10 nr. Ware, Just south of Puckeridge. I'll be using them on mine (D4 / 140k miles with 2x Dr. Tranny added after a juddder). https://www.stephensengineering.co.uk/ 2011 MY D4 HSE Previously 2001 D2 TD5, 1996 D1 300Tdi, 1985 90 2.2 petrol.
