Be sure to check Topcashback also. I got £60 cashback when I took my RAC policy out.

My daughter works for the AA. A lot of the time people dont do anything and just let the policy auto renew. All of them do this, RAC, Green flag ect, Its not specific to the AA. If you phone them they always bring it back down.

Phoned them up to cancel & they brought the price down, I said no as they should have given me a better price to start with. Person I spoke with said the majority of customers do not query the price so there is no incentive to reduce prices unless someone complains. He then offered a lower price still with guarantee it would not rise the following year. It still wasn't as low as I can get it for, so bye bye AA |

Try your bank, a lot do a £15-£20 a month Car Cover, Gadget Cover, Holiday Insurance and Airport Lounges that kind of stuff usually with a overdraft you don't get charged for. |

My AA renewal was stupid this year (like Wilf's), went online, checked new sign up then rang up to moan. Dropped it to within £2 of the online price so happy with that.

I took out AA recovery that covers me and any vehicle I'm in about 4 weeks ago. Only thing I didn't have was home start as not a problem if it's still sat on the drive. Online they quoted £128 but I wanted to confirm it would cover my van which is 3.5 ton or if they would say it's cars only so rang up and was told it's covered but they could see the RRS was insured with the AA so I would receive a discount on the break down cover.

Consider the Nationwide Flex Plus account, £13 a month, no fees for overseas cash withdrawals, travel insurance, mobile phone insurance (just claimed on mine for a broken screen and for £25 excess it saved a £400 repair on a P30 Pro) plus full breakdown cover with Call Assist. Decent interest rates too plus a British building society G P.S I don't work for them! Just a happy customer! (did the account switch as a referral from my dad and we both got £100 too) |
