I'm having the major belt service done on my RRS early next week and whilst it's in the shop I thought I'd get them to install the electrics to go with my new tow hitch...

No the two plug/socket will be 'N' and 'S' not the 13pin plug.

I can't say I have ever heard of a kit with 7 and 13 pin sockets but they may be available, would of thought that would make wiring them in complicated but not auto electrician.

I’ve got a N and S kit on mine and have a LR adapter to 13 pin if required. I think the wiring would be a mare if even possible to have a 7 and a 13 together. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

So I've gone with the 7 pin (and adaptor) option...

Mine worked without modifying the CCF, I think the CCF edit turns off the rear fog light when you have a trailer attached and also adjusts the suspension to compensate for the nose weight of the trailer. I wasn’t to fussed as my trailer is light weight however as I had the IID tool I changed it anyway. Unfortunately the IID tools are locked to a VIN unless you have the expensive subscription to give greater access. SDD will do it if anyone local has it. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Given what you've noted above I probably should get it coded then as I'll be towing a horsebox with a couple of horses on... probably only a few times a year but would prefer it to be "right"! |
