Hesitation when revving

Hi all. My tdv6 is really sluggish around 1500rpm to 2000rpm. It’s when you gently press the accelerator it does nothing until it kicks down. It the hesitates every 200 rpm until it changes gear. I’ve just changed the top water connector pipe and have checked all of the connections to make sure I didn’t muck them up. It’s had egr valves around 1000 miles ago as that’s when I spotted a small weep from the water connector. Any ideas please?

Sounds like a sticking turbo actuator though would expect to see engine system fault on the mess centre. Get the codes read see if anything logged 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

I’ve put my code reader on and it’s showing no codes at all. It feels the same as when my egr valves went but it’s onlt happened after I changed the top water connector.

Just read your original post again it would not be the actuator half asleep when I read the post Embarassed was it doing it before you fitted the temp sensor?
Have you checked the wires connectors on the throttle body or if you removed the top fan cover/air filter to turbo pipe did you disconnect the maf sensor might be worth checking 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

No it was working fine before I started just a small water leak from top connector. Just gone back over what I done as I must be something I mucked up. I’ve noticed on the throttle body connector that a rubber ring is perished. Now this to me would mean more air getting into the engine thus mucking up the air / fuel ratio? Sorry to be a pain.

I’ve seen them like that before but carnt see it causing the hesitation as you described it, though it won’t hurt to clean it up and maybe replace the O ring if damaged 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current
