What’s the ideal offset?

LR standard assuming your on about aL494 is 53,I have a set of Hawke alloys on mine which the off set is 45 & I’ve also fitted 30mm spacers on the rears so they fill the arches nicely.
If your going to fit aftermarket alloys just make sure you fit from a reputable supplier & not a set of these Chinese crap as the tend to buckle & crack easily,plus it depends what profile tyre you are going to fit as that makes a big difference,I’m running 295/40r22’s on mine.The Hawke I’ve got fitted to have been on 4 sports now & I remove them every few month to give them a good clean inside & while I have them off I check the balance on them & they all still run 100% true on the balancer with no buckles or cracks. Andy.

Andy, isn't 53 the RRS1 offset and 49 the RRS2.

Mmm you’ve got me their Col,you could be right I remember seeing 53 on one of the wheels but cannot remember wether it was on one of my L320’s or one of the L494,I’ve got some pics somewhere of the set I sold on here off my14 SC I’ll try find them & get back. Andy.
