2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Zermatt Silver
Autobiography Body Kit

Hi all, a quick question to ask please. Was the Autobiography body kit offered as a factory fitted option on Non Autobiography model RRS's?

Don't think so, no. They did do a dealer-fit HST body kit on the earlier model. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Zermatt Silver

Thanks, I’m looking at a HSE Lux with an Autobiography kit fitted. I asked who fitted it and was told, the factory as LR offered it as a factory fitted option. I’d never heard of this but wanted to check with you guys. It’s not a deal breaker but something I can hit him with if I have to.

Car year?

Price you’re paying? Just curious. I know of a very well priced 2013 old shape (the boxey one) bought new by a 74 year old who recently died. The car has a genuine 7300 miles on it.

EDIT, I may be wrong but I believe it’s a Black Edition Auto Biography.

Edit 2, it’s a cash only sale, but an extremely high specced car that visited SVR before being delivered 😉 No overfinch/ Kahn ect nonsense here.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Land Rover used to offer an Autobiography bespoke service many years ago - in the days of L322 and P38A - it consisted of a repaint in the colour of your choice, price starting at £10k, then the interior could be “remodelled” to your requirements BUT the one thing they never ever sold was an Autobiography body kit. There are people on the forum who have upgraded L320 post 2010 facelift models from HSE to Autobiography so it is possible but you don’t get the bits from Land Rover they come from scrapped cars or eBay sellers
The Autobiography Service of the 1990’s and 2000’s was carried out by a division that was called Special Vehicles (they used to build the armoured versions of the cars, Armed Forces Defenders and the specially equipped Defenders used by the Utilities companies but that was disbanded back before 2003 when the L322 was launched. It wasn’t until 2010 that “Autobiography” became a variant designator - prior to 2010 FFRR had SE, HSE and Vogue versions that change to Vogue, Vogue SE and Autobiography around 2009 MY, in 2010 RRS got its Autobiography version.
What used to be Special Vehicles morphed into SVO who build special versions of SVR RRS and F-Pace, SVA (FFRR and Velars) and were going to build the SVA Coupe and the Disco 5 SVO with the V8 petrol engine but both of those projects were cancelled earlier this year. They also build the armoured Discos, Jaguars and FFRR used for the Diplomatic cars and ministerial cars...........

Anorak off 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

You’re right, it seems it is not badged SVR, but it is a black edition Autobiography spec’d Car. An that is a Fact as the logbook says so!

The one I’m looking at is a 2012 HSE with the Lux pack, 51K miles and the Autobiography body kit but after what you guys are saying it must be an aftermarket kit retro fitted by someone. Dealer wants just under £20K.

New Zealand 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Santorini Black

It was never called a Autobiography Body Kit, A/B is the model, L/R called it a Exterior Design Pack. Yes it was a factory option on all models of the facelift RRS1 for the princely sum of £3270.00. If you have the Vin No. should be able to get build spec from topix which should say if it was factory fitted or not I believe.

The PDF brochure is in my gallery.

That’s not cheap, it’s at it’s starting price. It’ll never sell for £20k, in fact I bet it’ll go for between £17.5k an £18.5k. 70k milled RRS1 2012 are going for £16k-£17.5k

As I thought all Black Editions were HSE's and being the run out models they fitted a few extra normally paid for options FOC i.e. dual view screen etc. Out of curiosity what exactly is a Autobiography spec'd. car? surely it is either a A/B, HSE, SE etc.

Cheers

That’s right Col, the Black Edition is a HSE brought upto a similar spec to an AB but missing all the AB sales badging (JLR speak) and some of the electrical gizmos. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

We are all entitled to our opinion, in my mind a 51k
2012 in too top condition in the S/E would be a little higher in value/cost, I would expect it to be £24-26k, and end up being £22-24k, in other parts of the country yes it would be lower but they seem to think we have more money down here..

As said it's just an option..
No need to shoot me down for having one..

How's the Skoda?? ===========================================
