Very interesting! That sounds just the sort of thing we'd like to try and fit in

Okay, nothing on for August yet (apparently), but I'll keep checking back. Always up for an opportunity to use the car as intended (one reason that I've gone for wheels that I can fit high profile tyres to ). |

Sorry should have said that they only plan 3 months in advance. If anybody is in the Fife area this coming weekend there is a trip out on the shooting estate at Glenogil - not at the prison....... that’s Glen Ochill! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim, that’s not a problem at all. It’s given me the opportunity to write and let them know where and when we’ll be there. If I’m very luck, they might even move the meeting a bit so that we can join in I had to ask!

Up round Pitlochry there are some great public single track roads to explore - if you have electronic OS Maps or even the paper ones look for the ones marked “Military Road” - these are not tank training tracks but roads built in the 18th Century to get Red Coats around the highlands quickly to quell Jacobite uprisings, they are tarred these days but it is a lovely day or two out following them. Also I highly recommend a trip to Stirling Castle (it was way way more important in Scotland’s history than Edinburgh Castle) BUT check ahead where you have to park as during the summer months you can only park on the Castle rampart if you are a coach or disabled, everyone else has to use the shuttle bus service from the Park and Ride just off the motorway at J10 - Castleview Car Park. If you want some day trip back road routes drop me a PM as I have run RRS and FFRR.com days out all round the Loch Tummel/Loch Tay/ Glen Lyon/Killin area. One road to take is the single track from Amulree over to Kenmore - if you take a picnic and have lunch on the north shore of Loch Tay if you are very lucky the local Red Squirrels will come down to join you and eat your sarnies with you! Also if you are into Game of Thrones and some of the Netflicks series there are filming locations all over the area, and if you are into Monty Python movies then Doune Castle featured in a couple of their movies! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
