Not sure if it’s the one you mention but my own conti had to be scrapped due to a puncture. This was made all the more painful as it was almost new. The issue with it was that it had a ring of foam on the inside, that was designed to deaden sound and make the tyre quieter.

Ive got 295/40r22 contis on mine & they are really noisy,,i took the original tyres off that were worn & they were conti silent with the foam inside & im tempted to remove my tyres & put the foam in them as its only glued on & hopefully that will quiten them.

Thanks guys. I think I will stick with the Pirelli's... I have Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on my other car and it seems like tyre innovation seems to be sorely lagging for SUV road tyres! I believe the Scorpion's haven't been updated in some time.. |

I had continentals on a previous car and I wasn't happy with them. I much prefer the Pirellis that I now have on the RRS. Kev

What sort of driving do you do? They are two different types of tyres, if you go for the Sport Contracts a set of winter tyres are essential if you don't want to be "that guy" stuck in the snow in the range rover...

I only fitted conti’s as you cannot get another premium brand in the 295/40r22’s plus the contis I have on have the rim protector which helps a lot when you clip the kerb by accident. Andy.

Apologies for the thread drift. I have Scorpion Verdes on my 2017 SDV8 with 21" wheels and I find the ride a bit harsh compared to my previous SDV6 with 20" wheels and against the FFRR I had before that

Have Continental sorted the edge wear issues? When researching my car, I recall seeing posts about edge wear within a few thousand miles when they were OE fitment. The rest of the tyre was absolutely fine and alignment didn't make any difference. Obviously the central 3/4 was above the 1.6mm so they were legal to use. |

My conti sport 5’s aren’t wearing on the edges & im no steady driver & the ones I have on mine have been on 3 sports in the last 3+ years. Andy.
