SQUEALING NOISE FROM OSF WHEEL AREA

2009 2.7 TDV6 Squeaking/squealing noise from the OSF wheel area when cornering left. It's driving me mad! I have recently had it jacked up for a few hours on the NSR. Noticed the noise after it was lowered and when i started driving again.

Could be anything but I’d start with brakes, could be something foreign stuck between the pad and disc or may be you’ve lost the friction material and you’ve got a backing plate directly onto the disc. If you’re handy with a jack, it’s worth a look. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Did you find out what this was?

Is it more of a creaking? I have exactly what you are describing, got knocking aswell when going over bumps, think its probably all related i.e. bushes so have it booked in to garage next Tuesday as my old bones don't like laying on cold roads any more. I'll let you know what they find in case you have the same fault.

Cheers

Hi there,

Been a while since I’ve been on the forum but camemacross this post and thought I’d share.

I had EXACTLY the same symptoms and screaching noise coming from the front of my 2006 RRS.

I’m willing to put a sizeable bet on this noise/ issue your experiencing is due to your wheel hub (s).

Changed mine after advice from specialist and noise went immediately.

Hope this helps

Gareth
