This exactly what I was looking for thank you! Not pretending to know anything about electrics I’m guessing the switch you installed was an inline switch on the patch lead? What switch do I need to get and any pictures of yours... |

That's right Buster. It's a single switch that switches both patch leads. It's a double pole switch so it's effectively two switches controlled by a single button. The switch I used was from Amazon, they come in a pack of 10 for £1.70....

I assume the fuse box in question is the PASSENGER COMPARTMENT FUSE BOX and not the engine bay fuse box?

If you have simply bridged fuse 24 & 49 together as well as 50 & 29 with a switch between the two pairs which disconnects the ignition live feeds from 49 & 50 I understand that, but still not sure what happens when you turn the headlights etc. on in normal use as would this not give a power back feed to the circuits as I thought in my earlier reply. As said not auto electrician so abit unsure. Only if you have to change the new switch position each time would it not be easier just to switch sidelights on every time you start the car?

The only thing I changed with the IID was turning off auto wipers. It meant that the intermittent wipe worked as an intermittent with the rate selectable on the column. I hate auto wipers. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yes, this is the interior fusebox behind the glovebox. All headlight functionality remains the same.

Got it now, does seem easier way than cutting into harness, would have thought after a few months if there were any return feed issues it would have showed up by now. |

To get to the passenger compartment fusebox, you simply push both support stays inwards. The glovebox then hinges down into the footwell.
