It is going off-thread but I wouldn't be surprised if Steve was right. The school my son attends seems to find offence at everything and anything:

* If you wear Dr Martens you are a de facto racist;
* One day in isolation for 'dead-naming' pupils who are living as other than their birth gender;
* An emergency assembly after a teacher heard a pupil say "don't be so gay" in the playground;
* Armed forces excluded from careers day;
* Teachers seeming to hold a grudge against pupils who expressed opinions different to theirs during debates;
* An English class being instructed to write a poem titled "Ravens of Death" after a Typhoon flew over;
* Teaching gender-neutral nouns;

Not so much how to think but what to think.

If boys wore blue LED eyebrows and girls pink, the teachers would probably explode and insist on rainbow versions all round.
