United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black

Of note, I had a Mercedes E-Class hire car recently and was using Waze via Apple Car Play on that.

Got speed camera alerts and police alerts, not sure about actual speed alerts though, didn't notice them.

Just got my new MY19 RRS and canā€™t get CarPlay to work. Iā€™ve read through this forum post and have checked my software is up to date - Iā€™m on version 18C - but thereā€™s no Car Play option on the screen. Any suggestions?

No, but itā€™s not listed as an option anywhere so I couldnā€™t have done.

Apparently it is now a chargeable option, and is on the price list.

The daft thing is, if you have an existing car and complain about the system then you can possibly blag a free upgrade!! 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

Well it wasnā€™t when I ordered the car in September so unless they install it now, FoC, thereā€™ll be trouble!! Am going to pop into the local stealer shortly so will update after that

So - you can get CarPlay but itā€™s a chargeable extra, either at time of order (only very recently) or as a dealer fit for Ā£240! Nice though it might be, I donā€™t think itā€™s worth that, especially when InControl Apps does nearly the same. Annoying when cheaper cars include it as standard but welcome to the world of Range Rovers I suppose...

I find Waze pretty average much better applications out there for speed cameras. Speed Cameras by SYGIC is miles better with both accuracy and utilisation. I particularly like being able to set my own speed warnings. Waze misses more than 50% of cameras which makes it worthless IMO. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

MY 12 month old RRS went in for it's first service and I told them that the media center was clunky, slow to respond, didn't always connect and they confirmed they would update to latest version at no cost.

Now have apple car play and it's a thousand times better than the in control apps. Still not amazing I should add but a big improvement.

Correction: MY19s donā€™t come with built-in SIM (like audis). The dealer just hands you a Ubigi sim and you connect to get faark all data free and then are prompted to prepay 80 quid per annum to add a data plan. Not what I call built in!

And OTA updates donā€™t work.

But I can use online service to follow my football team....šŸ‘ MY19 5.0SC Dynamic AB - Boss Grey, Black Pano Roof, 22ā€ Gloss Black Alloys, Ebony/Ivory Massage Seats, Carbon Fibre Finishers, HUD, DTV and the all important Cabin Ionisation...

Just asked my local dealer about ACP and they stated it's only available on MY18 and MY19 models. I've got a MY17 so have ICTP which this thread clearly shows ACP is compatible with, how can the dealers not know this? Communicating updates is a real weakness of JLR.

Just complain that InControl isnā€™t working as it should and when they do the update you should get ACP. The latest software is 18 d that is what you need

Already have as to be fair I do get issues with it. Just find it bizarre that they aren't aware that ACP can be installed on the ICTP of MY17 models, seems they thought it only works on Duo.
