2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Recently somebody asked on the forum about using the Waze app with ACP - well now that O2/Telefonica has sorted out why i’m Not getting my full data allowance I can tell you that in my Countryman’s ACP Waze works a treat so I wonder if there is some out of licensing agreement between Apple and JLR regarding which apps they allow and which they won’t. Or could it be that you need to move the Waze app up to the 1st or 2nd screen of your phone’s apps as I only get 2 screens of apps to choose from in the Mini’s ACP despite having 5 screens of apps on my phone...... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Had the 18c update installed a week ago but cannot find the CarPlay icon on the home screen, even when scrolling through. Is it something I have to enable in the settings? I have an MY17 with ICTP Pro btw.

Where I live we don’t have many of those warnings at the moment so I don’t know is the answer! I do get them with Navmii in ACP though 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My understanding is you need 18c AND CarPlay to be enabled.

Two separate software installs apparently. MY19 5.0SC Dynamic AB - Boss Grey, Black Pano Roof, 22” Gloss Black Alloys, Ebony/Ivory Massage Seats, Carbon Fibre Finishers, HUD, DTV and the all important Cabin Ionisation...

Thats right...when the update rolled out a firmware update to 18c would install car play and android auto as standard but now that JLR charge for this on a new build the dealer needs to tick a box before the install for it to be on your car retrospectively. My dealer confirmed this when I picked it up...he told me we did it for you but dont spread the word as its no longer free.

Thanks...google search seems to show Apple wont allow these types of alerts on carplay so probably not car specific..

On the new car configurator ACP/AndroidAuto are now listed as a £200 optional extra for New Evoque. I suppose it could be used as a deal negotiation item like the now £900 5 year service agreement 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

No worries RRSMan.

I saw a tutorial on YT earlier today showing ACP in a Disco and it showed a cool feature where you can play music from CarPlay the operate it from the ICTP with full artwork showing.

Doesn’t work like this on my Audi or the Mrs’ Golf.

They both just display the CarPlay logo and render the steering wheel controls inoperable.

One advantage of JLR coming to the table later than others as I’m sure new Audis will have this sewn up in newer models.

On another positive note, not only do Audi make you pay for ACP by including in a tech pack, they also did not allow backwards compatibility. At least JLR are doing this for all owners who have ICTP. MY19 5.0SC Dynamic AB - Boss Grey, Black Pano Roof, 22” Gloss Black Alloys, Ebony/Ivory Massage Seats, Carbon Fibre Finishers, HUD, DTV and the all important Cabin Ionisation...
