If you want good ICE then I suggest you buy a Kia. The Range Rover does do some things well but ICE is not one of them. The sound system is very good, one of the best in the market , it is only when you want internet functionality that things screw up. For me my Samsung Note does all I want so I don't get frustrated. There is a non OME solution that is mentioned on another Board and this seems to work well. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

hi dc - tested my iPhone connection this morning and it connects to My Vehicle Apps ok. Then when I try to view My Vehicle Apps again I lose the connection and get the message below. Really annoying and dangerous because I have to accept the connection again on my phone while driving.

I've read on another forum topic that you can check the firmware version under the Navigation settings / App details. I've can see I'm on version 2017C.10-4957 - which suggests to me that the firmware update I was told happened yesterday is not the latest 2018 version. Is anyone able to confirm this please before I go back to my dealer?

I can't see myself using carPlay much as you can't connect via bluetooth and have to connect a cable every time...... The only real plus for me is on carPlay you get to see you favourite contacts for the phone. 2010 RR 5.0 Autobiography

Loving my Apple Carplay - I have an Amazon Prime account and can access the Amazon music app for unlimited songs on the move so no need to sign up to Spotify or Deezer.

Now if we could just get Alexa to answer instead of Siri

Is there a menu option to find CarPlay within the InControl section? I’ve got a week old MY19 with 18C but no obvious CarPlay showing ...

There are both Carplay and Android Auto menu options when you swipe the Incontrol screen across.
There is also an icon added to the bottom of the Home screen when your phone is connected.

Artist data appears briefly then disappears - happens in my Audi. Never managed to get InControl working consistently, then 3 weeks ago had a problem with bluetooth connection for music. Reported it to my service centre and they suggested updating to CarPlay (which is what I was hoping for).

Only had a few days (using with iPhone 7S on IOS 12.1), but as long as I remember to unlock the iPhone before connecting it works great. Nice to be able to access Audible (audiobooks) too.
