I thought that was for if you have cameras for lane departure. Last time they changed the screen, it worked fine |

Would appear sensor is self calibrating when first powered up.

Hi, not sure on that one as that is just an extract from workshop manual, is it possible they damaged the sensor when removing it from old screen in anyway, may sound stupid but just a thought is there anything on the screen in front of sensor causing it, also does the light sensor work as believe that is integral in the same sensor.

If you pm me a email address I will try and send you a PDF of the section of the manual that details removing it.

L494 has a Winter park setting that will stop the wipers on top of the front screen heater element and is also the setting to use to avoid paintwork damage on the edge of the bonnet when lifting the wiper arms for replacing wiper blades. The problem with the winter park position is if you drive off with it set the wipers don’t park out at the bottom of the screen - something I would have thought is not out of the bounds of a technical cure - a small controller that basically checks that if Car is moving the wipers will drop to the normal parked position and return to the Winter park position when you switch off the engine. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |
