You think that's bad... a work syndicate I was in several jobs ago lost me a share of £18m. The little who entered the numbers every week decided he would change them without conferring with anyone. 3 weeks later, an "old" set of our numbers came up... all 6 of them.

The aforementioned wasn't the most popular on the block, that's for sure Syndicate broke up in fact and nobody else had the motivation to start another one. This was about 8 years ago I suppose but it does still sting to think about it...

It was roughly an £18m jackpot, which it turns out was claimed by one ticket. The syndicate was 8 people, so we would have scored well over £2m each. I don't think any of us spoke to that bloke again, quite literally...

We wondered that, but if he did win it he didn't leave work... given he was a paper pusher, you'd have thought he would have done. 2009 Outstanding Contribution Award - Joint Runner Up 2009 'Tech-Head Of The Year' Award - Runner Up Like it here? Then Donate to RRSPORT!! |
