Hi all,
Have an issue with my 2005 RR sport sc, when I turn the key to start it dose its checks but doesn't always turn over first time I have to turn key back then retry sometimes two or three times, It has always started and when it turns over it is at a good rate. Will check battery connection tomorrow but I don't think it is that as when it dose it the lights on the dash don't show signs of dimming ,
Wondered if anybody had come across this before.

Change relay by battery marked SM

Could use the rear blower relay if it's the same

Update was out for most of the day but when I got back had a look at the RR. Checked battery connections found the positive was not as tight as it should be. Then I changed the starter relay over with another one which was the same. Neither of these things sorted the problem. I suppose the next thing is the starter motor or the ignition switch ,problem is it doesn't do it every time.

Quick update on RR, typically the starter has been turning over first time every time since We spoke last, removed head light and cleaned both earth connections , checked with multimeter battery pos to engine bracket getting reading of 12.32 which I'm guessing is a bit low , could that cause the problem ? It is a new battery but before I had the car I'm not sure it was used regularly

Also have a 2005 SC had the same was starter motor couple of months ago time to change it out ?

Update, took battery off and charged for 24 hours re tested all good , not missed a beat since. I think a not quite fully charged battery can throw up all sorts on these RR
