Boot sill height

Good evening all,

I'm currently looking at purchasing a landrover and have still yet to decide on a RRsport, L322 RR or Discovery 3. I have a rather large Newfoundland dog who doesn't jump into the back of cars more like lifts himself into the back once his front paws are in. For this reason it would be really useful if I knew the height of the boot sill and could see how this compares to my current car.

Would any of you out there know this height on the sport or would you be able to have a quick measure for me?

Huge thanks to everyone out there.

Thumbs Up

New Zealand 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Santorini Black

Ground level to top edge of bumper on mine is about 720mm standard height, in access height should drop around another 50mm I think. I am running 21" wheels which probably increase the height slightly.

Cheers
Col

Cheers Col, that’s just the information I need.

I’ll keep you all updated on what I end up with.

We have St Bernard's and always used a ramp to get the dogs in the boot.

Hi Ravingmad, what is the space like in the back with the St Bernards? I currently have the one Newfoundland and am looking at getting a second, I don't know if the rear is going to be too tight and that's what is making me think about the discovery. Can I ask what made you decide on the sport compared to the RR or discovery?

Good point about the ramp, I think this would be the best option, then it will just be trying to get a stubborn Newfoundland to use it!!

Cheers

Hi Booga,
It was always tight with the 2 dogs in the back to be honest, but we only ever went short distances with both . ie vets and local shows.
I did not like the disco and the wife thought the FF to big. MY13.5 Autobiography, Santorini Black, Privacy Glass. Gone
