As I said they have ripped part of the seal away, it should locate in a groove in filler neck and form a nice tight seal, it is not possible to buy the seal seperate you or they will need to replace the complete part LR014044 which I posted a picture of. If they had done the job correctly they would not have torn it in the first place.

Dropped my RRS in to the garage today to get the work done/looked at. Was immediately greeted with being told the rubber was old and that these rubber bits perish as they get old and get regularly covered in diesel, so it just split as they were putting it back over the metal filler neck etc. etc.

If it was as they say then they should have informed you before handing the car back or asked you if you wanted it replaced as it was not in good condition it sound's like someone there is a bit of a cowboy or the apprentice did it and said nothing if i were you i would not use them again |
