Roof spoiler flew off the M40 - Help needed please!

Hi Everyone,

As per the title, the roof spoiler on the back of my 2009 Range Rover Sport flew off the back on the M40 yesterday. To say I was shocked was an understatement! Owned the car for almost 2 years, never had a problem and then this. I have never owned a Range before and now I'm totally lost.

The car is a 59 plate facelift model. This is causing mass confusion, as when I search for a replacement part, I can see what I think is the right part but the description says it will fit 2010 only.

The top part of the spoiler has gone, the bottom part, braking light and parking camera are still in place.

I'm in desperate need of help as I genuinely have no idea what to do and am not willing to pay Land Rover £800 for a bit of plastic Sad

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

I may be wrong here, but if it's the face lift model it is a MY (model year) 2010, even if it's registered in 2009?

England 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Fuji White

Thats correct, my car is a sept 2011 build but is a 2012 model year. Yours is probably a 59 plate 2010 model year?

If you need a complete new spoiler I’d be tempted with a Autobiography style. The painting probably won’t be cheap either! 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

16 plate Eurofighter Typhoon, 2 x Eurojet engines with 20,000lbs thrust each. 1380mph

You legends, thank you!

Any advice on how much I’ll need to spend and where to get a replacement from?

That says it’s a 2010 style but it fits the 05 to 09 car so could be a different fit. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Contact this breaker and see if the spoiler is still available. Genuine Range Rover and hopefully the same colour as your car saving on the cost of painting!!

New Zealand 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Santorini Black

The genuine rear spoiler from a 2005-2009 will not fit a 2010-2013 car, although physically similar shape the two outer rear mounting points are in a different position, in addition to the rear brake lamp as well, the only way to get it to fit is also change the rear tailgate/glass hinges from either model depending on if you are going late model to early or visa versa.

Cheers
Col
