India 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 S Santorini Black
2008 Range Rover Sport - Starting issue

Hi All,

I'm working on a 20058 Range Rover Sport TD V8. The Vin of the car is : SALLSAA238A148341.

The car has been out of commission for about 6 years now. So when I put the key on to position II, the indicators outside start blinking and then the engine doesn't turn over. I've also tried to start her with the ignition on and giving direct power to the starter just to make sure the starter is working. The Rear wiper keeps working at that point But no luck. Upon scanning the car I've got the following codes -

1). P1623-00 Immobiliser code word/ identification write failure
2). U0140-87 Lost communication with body control module
3). Lost communication with parking assist module

Also wanted to say that the front driver's side outer lock isnt connected. Is there a possibility that the immobiliser is getting triggered because of this?
I've looked all over the car, under the driver's seat, in the engine room, under the dashboard on the left and right side but I haven't been yet able to locate the body control module or the EWS module. I found 3 module under the right side of the dashboard which were ABS, Air Suspension and auto lighting. Found a module under the driver's side seat which is for the audio system and then one under the passanger side seat seems to be for the Multimedia screen behind the front seats.

Also

Looking forward to some help desperately.

Thank you

Sparky

Is the car a left hand drive? It may be worth reconnecting that lock and checking all other connections in that area. I know nothing of the system but assume there will be a transceiver type thing in the door. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Also could be worth replacing the battery in the key. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

the body processor is part of the fusebox, behind the glovebox.
Known as CJB

Sounds like an imboliser issue to me. Does the key appear to be correct.

or you could have a CAN bus short (the twisted wires that round round the car)

Isn't the battery in the key self-charging? IE has to be inserted into the keyhole and the ignition on to charge. I don't think the battery is replaceable.

Does the fob unlock the doors? If it doesn't then try "charging" it for a while until it is able to then trying to start it again.
