Read through your policy documents, different Insurers have their own preferred windscreen repairers/fitters. |

They recommend autoglass.

You really want Pilkington Opticool, doesn't have to be LR branded, but they will probably try to fob you off with a cheap Chinese copy.

Yeah tried that with me, originally told insurance only wanted genuine L/R screen which they agreed to. Autoglass turn up twice with some screen made in South Africa I think, refused to let them fit either, eventually came with genuine L/R (Pilkington) screen in L/R packaging, even got £50.00 refund on my excess for the inconvenience. I had a cowboy window fitter out on Monday from the insurance company to replace my passenger front window who was a complete animal trying to remove the door card and cracked glass. The glass looked like someone had hit it with a hammer by the time he got it out to then find the new glass was cracked so he refitted the old one which is so badly damaged I haven't been able to use the car since.
