You have much to learn, Grasshopper. That's beginner's money for RRS servicing... Big Cry 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

To be hoenst I will do as much servicing as I can myself. where I live, in the NE of Scotland I have 2 options for Main dealers. Petervardy Land Rover Jag in Aberdeen, and although my girlfriends sister works there, I wouldn't buy a cup of coffee from Peter Vardy after all teh problems haad with there 'service' department in the past, and cuz its Aberdeen they think we all have £100 notes falling out out our pockets
The other option is Stratstones (might be Pentlands) in Perth, my Step father uses them for his Disco Sport.
There is a local indie near bu that seesm to get raving reviews but I think its mainly the older defenders and disco 1s he does

quick question regarding the list of standard items on the TDV8 HSE. It looks like adaptive cruise is a standard item, so should be present on all TDV8 HSE is that correct?

Only asking as have seen a TDv8 hSE on auto trader that doesnt have teh ACC.

Not sure if all TDV8's had it mine certainly did, have a look at the steering wheel, if it actualy has it will have extra switch at side by cruise control buttons.

Cheers

Hi, yeah that's what I did, the wheel only has the normal cruise buttons, so it's not fitted. Was just a little confused as I thought is was a standard item at HSE level. Maybe not.

Thanks

All pre-facelift TDV8s got adaptive cruise in the UK, I think. Perhaps it's had the wheel changed and someone's put the wrong wheel on? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

This is the advert
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ad...romSA=true

I can't see any sign of the ACC radar module in the front bumper and no buttons on the steering wheel. Maybe is freak and never had it from factory.

That's not a TDV8. If you look at the service pages you can see it says "RANGE ROVER SPT TDV6 SE". TDV8s were all HSE (or possibly HST)

The TDV8 didn't get a TDV8 badge in 2007 either, it was just badged HSE.

Looking online, I found a page that said 2.7TDV6 SE too.

Easy to check - lift the bonnet.

The ad also claims it has 19 inch rims on but those in the photos are 20inch. The ad also claims ACC but it obviously doesn't have ACC.

I think someone is playing fast and loose... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

rear wiper is parked on the wrong side too Laughing (broke?)

when I put the reg no into an app it states

SE TDV6
3.6
188bhp
co2 260

didn't they do some odd/uncommon engines along the way?

or the TDV6 crank has broken and they have fitted a V8 and half updated the logbook

p.s I thought they had clear side repeaters by then, not orange

Quick look on google and I can see no reference to 3.6 TDV6. 2.7TDV6, 3.0TDV6 and 3.6 TDV8 only.

Maybe its confused about its gender! Haha.

Needless to say its off the short list!

Hence me saying they only changed part of the logbook following an engine change.

If you had a broken 2.7 engine, and knew someone with a cheap/written off v8 going on your door step, I guess it made sence

Either way, good luck getting it insured if its not what the log book says it is!
