Doing an oil and sump pan swap on draining the ATF it looks reddish brown . I thought it was more a golden colour, anyone else come across this. If it ain't broken down it soon will

ATF is imo red RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux

It's probably be flushed before and red used.

Just a bit wary when I did the the diffs and transfer box the front diff had red oil in it. Think I'll do a double drain and fill drive it for a 1,000 or so miles and do another one If it ain't broken down it soon will

ATF is dyed red although some of the newer products on the market are amber or even blue |

The correct LG6 fluid is a light honey colour and when well used is the colour of tea to black.

And for the 8 speed it’s Lifeguard 8 and it’s green. |
