Parking sensors

Hi. I have a 2007 rrs. It has had an autobiography conversion already done when I bought the car.
The parking sensors don’t work. Just a long beep when selsecting reverse. None of the sensors click when listening to them. I pulled back the rear bumper and the loom all seems to be plugged in and wired up. Does anyone have an idea where to start with fixing the problem? I was expecting the loom not to have been converted so I’m not sure now.

U0159-87 (2E) Lost communication with parking assist control module - Bus signal/message failure - missing a message

Also I’m not sure if the headlight washers are working either? Not sure if that’s linked somehow?

Front sensors also need to be ok for the rears to work.

Do you have an IID ? You could disable the fronts in car config and unplug them under drivers headlight and see if rears work.

Or if iid you can measure the distance each sensor reads.

Otherwise remove front bumper.

And maybe purchase a sensor or two off eBay.

The long tone does point more to a rear failure. Maybe a rear sensor has gone.

Park brake needs to be off to listen to sensors. So park on level ground

iid? I that a code reader? If so then no I don’t sorry.

My brothers breaking a 2006 rrs so I’ll borrow a few bits from that and see if I can eliminate the problem. I could possibly see f a friend will plug it in a see what he can read from it.

I didn’t know the parking brake had to be off either. I’ll have another check. Thanks.

I just tested it with the parking brake off and they all click except one on the rear. Would one not working cause them to not work?

Would an outside sensor be an angled one or a straight one??
