Oil pressure.

How long before your oil pressure light goes out from cold. My RR takes about 4 seconds and 1 second warm, about right?I also use an additive (slick 50). I realize all oil switches will vary slightly, O for the days of the old Jags when your dash was covered in dials. Regs JH

yours being a 2007, you should get a new oil pump (as they have a weak cambelt tensioner mount) and new cambelt at the same time.

Bonus, you might improve the oil pressure.

Good idea to replace oil pump but don’t expect a dramatic improvement in oil pressure. Pumps produce flow rate, the condition of the engine, ie clearances, produce pressure. If your engine has low pressure that’s wear and tear.

you know if the light is genuine or not, as you can hear and hydraulic lifters stop making a noise when the light goes out.

If the oil filter hasn't been fitted correctly, this can cause the oil to drain down, and delay the light going out.
New oil can also help sometimes
