Australia 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 S Bonatti Grey
Advice Needed

G'Day All,

On my 2008 RRS TDV6 I have a weird anomaly - intermittently when I switch off the engine, the park brake light and the stereo display will stay on for a couple of minutes during which time the remote fobs (both of them) will not lock or unlock the doors. Once the display and park brake lights turn off the fobs work as normal - any ideas on this?

Hi guys, I need your help I've bought a 2008 3.6 tdv8 the problem is the screens in the rear headrest are not working (no power at all) also on my navigation screen there is not a rear entertainment option as there should be.there is power in the CD unit under the seat. Any ideas what the problem might be before I have to call out an audio tech guy. Thanks in advance Wayne.

Ozzy - Try a squirt of WD40 into the ignition key hole.

Would not advise WD40 in ignition barrel, use a Graphite Powder if it may be sticking as the WD40 will gum it up over time.

Cheers

I used to be a locksmith and I agree with Col. We always used dry graphite powder which will get to the bottom as it's very frictionless (same as rubbing a graphite pencil on a squeaky door hinge to silence it).
Any wet oil can attract dirt and dust to stick to it, eventually wearing out the internal components of the lock barrel. 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue
2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love.

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?
