My dealer told me that JLR are not allocating any more slots for pre MY19 I’m not sure if he’s trying to fob me off because they Censored up my order and not wanting me to cancel and reorder. 2010 RR 5.0 Autobiography

I think they are telling the truth, BUT my understanding is if you were to place an order it goes into a holding pool and you are not liable for any price increases so maybe worth placing an order!

Mine is apparently locked in for next month but if I get the last of an MY18 model I won't be happy, so going to re-query it again tomorrow.

Would rather wait a month and get the MY19 if they start building them in July.

Hmm it does sound like it is going to be built as a MY18, not sure if you will be able to hold it as there will most likely be a price increase? Plus you may end up joining the back of the queue.

For me it would depend on what MY19 changes there were but I would be inclined to stick with MY18 based on the velar changes...

Have you test driven an SDv8? My original order was an SDv6 but have went for the SDv8 as had the chance to on the replacement so hoping it's as good as I have heard!

I don't think MY19 will start until September, so still a little while to wait if you want a MY19 and then it will be a gamble on spec and price increases. My build date is 25th of this month, so I will probably just stick with that and not have the contrast roof. 2010 RR 5.0 Autobiography

From memory the specs get released around mid August when you can build it online.

Really hoping that's not the case! I ordered my replacement almost a month ago now and still waiting for a build slot, surly they won't be pooling several months of vehicles?

I had a 16.5 on order for build September 16 and delivery October 16

I don't remember the exact date but I'm sure it was August they released the MY17 so I cancelled the 16.5 and waited for the MY17 which I had in January 17

Perhaps year model dates do more around but that's how it worked as I remember chasing my dealer when I saw the better nav system on MY17 I knew I had to wait for it so was on the phone straight away and into the dealers as soon as I could.

Based on what I have been told by the retailer and the factory all the orders from the last month or so are sat in the holding pool so would be interesting as you say to find any confirmed build slots

Folks on the Velar forums are all crying about price rises at the moment...so expect rises for the MY19 RRS too!

My wife’s old Disco 4 was a MY16 but registered at the end of July on a 15 plate so I think the new MY could be even earlier than Aug?

They have actually reduced the price on some Velar models but changed the spec ie removed the air suspension and replaced it as an option. They also seem to have reduced the GFV which is pushing the PCP up. Maybe the Velar isn’t hitting the sales figures they were hoping so the GFV drops.

From what I can see Loire Blue is coming back as a colour and those two new cruise control things from the Velar are also here.

You can see on the configurator if you load up the global config in the address bar it is showing k19 against the models when you click into an engine;

https://rules.config.landrover.com/jdxl/en_xi/l494/

Also showing the newer SDV6 with 249ps

New looking options;
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go
Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist
High-speed Emergency Braking

Is all I can spot for now, guess if they've gone into the configurator now the first ones will hit dealerships July/August.
