I run L320 Wheels and yes the 4 mm makes my tyres just touch the upright. I could ignore the very slight touch but went for 3mm spacers . No issue with the Brembo's . If I was running 275/ instead of 285 tyres I would not need the spacers. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Just reading the threads and you might get confused by the term offset. My wheels are the V 10 spoke as pictured below

Putting this information into www.wheel-size.com you get the following image and I have highlighted the two areas in yellow where I had the issues. The left data is from the 21" wheels that came on the L494 vehicle and the right is the 20" V spoke that came from the old L320 V8, also although both vehicles had Brembo brakes fitted the L320 had 4 pot and the L494 has 6 pot.

Firstly I noticed that I had a slight rubbing of the red paint on the callipers and I was concerned that when new pads were fitted the callipers would jam against the wheels.

Secondly I noticed that the inside of the wheel rim was very close to the suspension strut and not knowing what movement the suspension arm had in extreme conditions this could have caused a serious issue if not checked, which is probably why the L494 20" wheels are only 8.5" wide.

Finally the clearance of the callipers on the inside of the wheel was fine.

The below image shows the tolerances for the L494 and you can see that both of the clearances in these areas have increased due to the reduced 4mm offset, moving the wheel futher out and the 8.5" rim width adding another 12.5mm clearance against the suspension arm.

I am interested to see that IRBails has fitted some L320 20" wheels to his L494, but he doesn't mention an offset or which style of wheel he has fitted, so difficult to check if his clearances were the same as mine. also that he has fitted 3mm spacers.

Hi my off set is 49, I did do post of info and pics some time ago I think? Brakes are the big red ones and in no way are they close to the rims, mind you these brakes were also used on the L320 RRS. Only issue with the L320 wheels is you must get the later model rims as the stud hole size varies, smaller hole size in some wheels. The load rating on my wheels was higher than the current RRS wheels , I assume because the older model was a heavier vehicle. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
