This won’t help much but I do seem to remember some other comments on here about warming up and IIRC the solution was a new thermostat. However as you’ve already done that it would be a real if that was the fault. That viscous fan does sound a bit suspect.

press the ECO button on the climate control (this shuts the AC Off) and then see if the vicious fan is behaving better, and see if you get an improvmeent |

In my opinion if the thermostat was failed open, it would take a long time to get to temp. If it failed closed it would get Very Hot under load and very quick.

Mine is doing the same takes what i think is twice as long to warm up have got a new thermostat to go in |

Not to be a smart arse, but the thermostat is closed when cold and opens when hot.

Usually story is, for the cost of the thermostat, you may as well replace it if you have it out. But nice to establish a cause.

speaking from experience the seal being torn/failing does keep the engine from getting warm, and that’s on the 4.2. So a diesel would never warm up. |
